POPS 2016 was a show like no other

screen-shot-2016-11-30-at-8-27-27-amLights, Camera, Action! Pops concert boasted the 2016 theme of, “Broadway to Hollywood.” Bay Port choirs were more than excited for their November 10 and 12 performances.

This concert showcased hits from box-office productions. Pulp Fiction, The Little Mermaid, Fame, and Gentleman Prefer Blondes, and other featured films.

Unlike other Bay Port Choir concerts, this show featured 13 solo pieces performed by students in various choir ensembles.

Director Michael Pufall said they expected a packed house on the night of the show. “This is the performance of a century.”

Student Jena Weber said, “I thought the concert was great, it ran pretty smoothly and showcased a lot of talent that may have not been seen before that night. There were a variety of different genres of music which kept the concert interesting and really showed off the talent within each ensemble.”

POPS has always had an awesome positive atmosphere, making this an important event for Bay Port.
