Senior year is always a time for celebration, pats on the back, worries about the future, and generally a time to kick back and relax before college comes at the end of the year. For the Bay Port boys’ swim team, however, senior year is bringing some worries.
The seniors of the Pirate boys’ team certainly aren’t few in number. Some notable members are Ryan Hakes, Jack Weronka, and Race Archibald. However, there are many other seniors on this team this year. The juniors and underclassmen, however, are lamenting this fact.
Dylan Pharis, a freshman and incoming member of the team, expressed his concern over that matter. Pharis said, “Once they’re gone, we’re going to lose a lot of firepower from the team.”
The seniors believe in the ability to keep the team together,” Weronka said. “I believe in the guys. Even with us gone, they should have everything under control.”
